Usher, good, but raunchy
Miguel and Trey Songz opened for sombr. They both were great. Trey had the jumbo tron, but no dancers. Miguel had no jumbo tron or dancers. He took his shirt off of course.
Several mothers brought young children and I do not recommend doing that! Not as many people of color were there, which was sad, no money perhaps, due to the economy? At one point, an "audience member" was brought on stage (but many think it was really a dancer/acctress because of liability issues and the minor issue). They dry humped each other/simulated sex! It was kinda gross I thought, but many in the audience were cheering.
sombr came in over the crowd on a platform. Lots of dancing, all his hit songs were sung. Lots of shirts flung off, screaming half-dressed women. He is not afraid of heights!
sombr and Trey Songz pretty much have the same schtick, lots of bare chest and sex, sex, sex. Also, stop it with the "N" word in some of your songs Trey, so uncool. I guess it sells, but even my 14 year old was not impressed. They are very talented and don't need that, if you ask me.
All in all an excellent concert. I was in the tippy top of the Sprint Center in KC and had an excellent view (other than it was far away).
Tip: If scared of heights, don't take the escalator-take the stairs or elevator!
